I posted this in the previous post, with other drawings from last summer, but I thought it deserves its own post. 🙂
Nearly 3 feet by 2 feet, it took 12 hours to get the it right…and in the end i rushed the vine. The shoe took 3 hours on its own….lol. I’m not sure the photo does it justice.

Ever since I was a child, my mother has had these growing in her garden. I always loved the way they look from the side – like some creature with a snout.

I was out in the garden taking photos this morning… a bit late in the season, apparently, for the roses. Or at least, if I wanted a pic of one in full bloom. But for me, the withering roses look pretty too… here’s the “prize picture” of the morning.
Spring is my second favorite season… autumn being my favorite 🙂 . So although today was cloudy and cold, I keep thinking spring should be here soon… Fortunately I live in a warmer climate, so spring does actually come a little bit earlier here than other places…
But flowers are a long way away… So I thought I’d post some pictures that I took last year, just to remind us all what we have to look forward to!
